By joining our association, you’ll gain access to comprehensive training, one-on-one evaluations and feedback, and the support needed to excel in amateur level baseball officiating. Become a part of our team and help shape the future of local baseball right here in Cheyenne!

Joining the association simple!

1. Complete the form here to tell us who you are and what experience you have umpiring.

2. Print and fill out the umpire contract, code of conduct, and dress code, as well as a W9. All files are available below. Bring these forms to the first umpire meeting. These forms must be submitted before you can be assigned games.

3. Purchase your gear or provide your own. This includes black shoes, charcoal grey pants, black belt, chest protector, mask, throat protector (recommended), shin guards, ball bag, indicator, and brush. www.ump-attire.com is a reliable site for gear.

4. Pay the $25 association fee upon joining. This fee helps support training, umpire resources, and gear costs for the association. 

5. Since we umpire American Legion Baseball, you'll need to complete the background check here. The cost is $36.

6. Click here to register with USA Baseball, then complete the free Abuse Awareness for Adults training and USA Baseball Umpire Certification courses.
